Al is very proud to be one of the original partners with New West Adjusters, and has now retired. We at New West Adjusters thank him for all that he has done and wish him all the best.

Rick Dykhuizen, FCIP

Rick Dykhuisen  

Rick is one of the Partners of New West Adjusters. He has been in the insurance industry since 1991, after completing the Insurance Management program at MacEwan in Edmonton. Rick received his Associateship with the Insurance Institute of Canada in 1992, and continued on to receive his Fellowship in 1996. Rick was a Broker for one year, before moving on to become a Claims Adjuster and then Independent Adjuster starting in 1997. Rick truly has a knack for understanding people, and this shows in his extensive background involving auto, liability, CGL, accident benefits, and large complex losses including major injury and fatality claims. Rick is also the control adjuster for various commercial accounts. Rick loves most sports, and enjoys playing hockey and golf.

Gord Kaminski, CIP

Gord Kaminski  

Gord, one of the partners at New West Adjusters, is a very generous individual with a great sense of humour. Gord started his insurance career in 1994 after attending NAIT for Business Administration, and became an Independent Adjuster in 1997. Gord proudly achieved his Chartered Insurance Professional Designation in 2000. Gord has never looked back handling various auto claims, major injury and fatality, commercial losses, and transportation and fleet claims. Gord is a very proud father of one daughter, is a great hockey player, and his athleticism carries onto the football field where he is the quarterback for his team.

Ed Lane, BComm., CIP

Ed Lane  

Ed, one of the partners at New West Adjusters, has been hard at work in the insurance industry since 1994, achieving his Associateship status in 1995. Ed has always been in claims, and became in Independent Adjuster in 2003. Ed is a bright individual obtaining his Commerce Degree from the University of Alberta in 1994, and also has minor degrees in Economics as well as Marketing. Ed currently handles various aspects of auto claims including major injury and fatality claims, oil field and cargo, marine surveys, CGL, and is the control adjuster for various commercial accounts. Ed also had the opportunity to previously be an Arbitration Officer involving disputes going to the Insurance Bureau of Canada. Outside of work Ed has a very active life which includes spending time with his five wonderful children.

Ron Lantz - In Memoria

Ron Lantz  

Ron Lantz, our friend, and a founding partner of New West Adjusters passed away suddenly on March 30, 2007.
Ron's leadership and guidance was instrumental in the growth of New West and its reputation within the insurance community and the public at large.
The example he set through his strong work ethic, fine reputation in the insurance industry, and his gift of friendship continues to be an inspiration to his colleagues at New West.


Ron Loiseau, CIP

Ron Loiseau, CIP  

Ron, one of the partners at New West Adjusters, began his insurance career in 1996 as an Underwriter, and with his interest in claims and passion for helping people, it was only natural that he turned to being an Insurance Adjuster. Ron attended MacEwan and received his Insurance Management Diploma, and is very close to receiving Fellowship status with the Insurance Institute of Canada. Ron currently handles all general property, auto, injury, CGL, and commercial claims. When not busy with work, Ron enjoys spending time with his two boys, camping, and Coaching Hockey. Ron is also passionate with charity work including Kids With Cancer.

Kent Swanson, CIP

Kent Swanson  

Kent, one of the partners at New West Adjusters, is another individual of the New West family who attended MacEwan and completed the Insurance Management program. Kent began his career in 1999 as an Adjuster, moved on to being an Independent Adjuster in 2004, and has grown tremendously over the years handling major loss claims. Kent currently handles various property losses including major commercial, large residential and property, and boiler and machinery claims. Kent's extensive knowledge of building construction also assists him in accurately evaluating losses. Kent currently has three children which keep him quite active, enjoys golf, and also has two beautiful Boxer dogs which have won numerous awards in dog shows.

Greg Uchacz, CIP

Greg Uchacz  

Greg, one of the partners at New West Adjusters, has been in the industry since 1985, and became an Independent Adjuster in 1990. Greg, like many at New West, also attended MacEwan in the Insurance Management program. Greg also has attended extensive seminars and courses over the years, and many specialized in fire and larger losses. Greg currently handles all property losses including residential and commercial, CGL, major fire and catastrophe, and municipality claims. When not busy at the office, Greg enjoys being an excellent father to his three children going camping, spending time in the outdoors, golfing, and playing hockey.

Mark Woywitka, CIP

Mark Woywitka  

Mark, one of the partners at New West Adjusters, has been an Independent Adjuster since 2004 when he began his insurance career out of Grant MacEwan College. Mark went on to obtain his Chartered Insurance Professional designation shortly afterwards in 2006. Currently Mark handles all general auto, liability, injury and CGL claims. Mark is also proud to be working on numerous commercial accounts at this time. Mark is a great hockey player, enjoys anything to do with the outdoors and camping, and is a very avid fisherman.
